A double lock handcuff has a secondary locking mechanism that, when engaged, prevents the cuffs from tightening or loosening any further without a key. This feature is crucial for safety and security as it stops the cuffs from over-tightening and causing nerve damage or circulation issues, and it also makes the cuffs more difficult to pick open. To engage it, a pin on the handcuff key is pressed into a small slot or button on the cuff.
But, on occasion, the push-to-lock mechanism is often difficult or not possible to engage when officer apprehension involves a struggle leading to difficulties in placing an individual in handcuffs. May result in injury to the individual police officer, the individual, or both, especially in struggling or being non-compliant.
Tension control mechanisms have been in development for years to prevent the handcuff from over-tightening, but never been satisfied.
None of previous designs can fully protect the wrist automatically, so that the push-to-lock lever remains, a manually push still a “must-do” to prevent the handcuff from over-tightening .
Hulkkuffs’ triple lock handcuffs are only available handcuffs which can aromatically protect wrist in all sides and from all angles.

The Hulkkuffs triple lock mechanism is the most satisfied solution so far. Three locks work independently. The tension control mechanism works fully automatically by means of a patented reversed-action lever design. The push-to-lock mechanism is eliminated. All angles of the wrist is protected, and the speed in both cuffing and removing is cut by 70% faster than any pervious models.
