Current handcuffing SOP requires placing the cuff on the wrist, leaving a one-finger gap, and manually engaging the double lock. These steps are necessary but can distract officers during an encounter.
Automating these functions allows officers to focus more on safety, situational awareness, and communication, which may help reduce risk and improve outcomes in the field.
A 75% increase in speed can also make a significant difference in safety for both officers and individuals.
Hulkkuffs new design focuses on:
Reducing Human Error. Enhancing Officer Safety. Improving Situational Awareness.
True Automatic Handcuffs, upgraded with the latest technology, integrate triple-lock protection with over-tightening prevention, soft impact cushioning, and anti-picking and anti-shimming features in the new design.

Most Advanced Designs in Handcuffs

1) A pressure-sensitive trigger locks the handcuff when a certain amount of force is applied from the inner side, preventing the ratchet from being further over-tightened. Fully automatic, and significantly faster and more reliable than standard double-lock handcuffs
Key Technology: The core design features a unique reverse-action mechanism that eliminates blind spots in wrist protection. In similar products on the market, only about 200–270 degrees of the wrist is protected, leaving a risk of over-tightening injury at certain angles. Most competing designs also rely on a manual push-to-lock lever.
Enhanced anti-picking.
2) Enhanced anti-picking system: two independent locks help prevent the handcuffs from being picked in most situations. The mechanism can only be disengaged when both locks are released simultaneously using a specialized key, making it extremely difficult—or nearly impossible—to pick with other tools.

Anti-shimming
3) Anti-shimming design: Two anti-shimming notches on both stop pawls help prevent the handcuffs from being shimmed with sharp tools. The notches are positioned to block and catch any pointed tool inserted from the outside. The mechanism can only be disengaged when both locks are released simultaneously using a specialized key, making it significantly more resistant to tampering than conventional handcuffs.

4) A cushioning spring is integrated into the pressure-triggered lock to absorb impact from the moving shackle. This mechanism significantly reduces force on the wrist’s bones and soft tissue during rapid application or spring-assisted cuffing techniques.

Next-Generation Smart Hulkkuffs. AI Integrated.
with life-sign monitoring and real-time GPS tracking (under development)
Reports of accidents and deaths have been documented by organizations and detention facilities worldwide. To help monitor and reduce risks such as medical emergencies or self-harm involving a restrained individual, a new life-monitoring system is integrated into Hulkkuffs®.
A) A motion sensor is embedded to monitor life-sign activity of the restrained individual.
B) A built-in GPS receiver enables real-time location tracking.
C) A pressure sensor activates the system once the handcuffs are applied to a wrist.
D) When activated, life-sign and location data are transmitted and encrypted using a unique handcuff ID.
E) Data transmission supports 2.4G (up to 900 m range) or 400 MHz (up to 50 km range), depending on configuration.
The next-generation smart Hulkkuffs integrate life-sign monitoring and GPS tracking.

Data Transmission, Reception, and Cloud Sharing
A) Each receiver station can cover all activated handcuffs within a max. 50 km radius.
B) Enables real-time monitoring and alerting based on analysis of collected life-sign and location data.
C) Low operating cost, 2.4G or 400 MHz, open or license-free radio frequency bands.
D) Compatible with smartphones and commercial digital receivers for data access.
E) Each handcuff can be individually monitored or queried using its unique ID.
F) All data is encrypted and accessible only to authorized personnel.
G) Data can be shared nationwide across authorized agencies and organizations.
