Hulkkuffs® is organizing a Handcuff Picking Competition. Enthusiasts from all backgrounds are invited to attend.

The competition is scheduled to take place in Toronto, New York, Tokyo and Berlin.

September 26, Saturday, 2026.

April 24, Saturday, 2027.

A detailed schedule will be forward to each participant after the registration is completed.

What You Receive After Registration

If you attend the competition in person, you will receive:

A souvenir: a CNC-machined aluminum commemorative medal.
A pair of modernized handcuffs: the latest design, fully functional professional-grade handcuffs.
Grand prize (winner only): a unique winner’s medal and a $10,000 USD cash prize.

Registration, Cancellation or not Show Up

If the event sells out or is rescheduled, a waiting list will be created. Individuals on the waiting list will be contacted as space becomes available due to cancellations, or they will be moved to the next scheduled competition.
If a participant is unable to attend an event, their registration fee will be automatically transferred to the next competition.
If a participant cancels registration or does not attend the event for any reason, a pair of fully functional handcuffs will be mailed to the address provided in the registration form. No refunds are available at this time

Registration and fees:
The competition registration fee is $199 US dollars.
Hulkkuffs® supplies drinks in the event.
*** Travel, accommodations and meals are not covered.

Handcuff Picking Competition and Rules

1, In this competition, participants attempt to open Hulkkuffs® handcuffs using any non-destructive methods or tools within a 5-minute time limit per handcuff.
2, Competitors are randomly assigned into groups.
3, During the challenge, handcuffs are applied to an opponent’s wrists.
4, The first stage is a qualifier round: competitors must successfully open at least one lock within 5 minutes to advance.
5, Qualified participants move on to the final round, where the winner is determined by the highest number of locks opened within 20 minutes.
6, If two or more competitors achieve the same top score, additional tie-break rounds will be held to determine a single winner, also based on the number of locks opened within 20 minutes.
7, A grand prize of $10,000 USD will be awarded to the final winner.
8, All results are evaluated according to official rules, with oversight conducted transparently in view of participants.
9, For fairness, pre-assembled keys or tools are not allowed. Participants may fabricate simple tools on-site using provided materials such as steel wire, paper clips, metal sheets, pliers, scissors, and knives.
